When creating a document with eformity, Document Properties such as address, city, postcode, etc., are automatically filled in with data from the input screen. Sometimes, however, these properties are not visible in SharePoint. Below you will find the solution to this problem.

The problem

When you create a document in Microsoft Word and save it in SharePoint, SharePoint does not automatically read the Document Properties. As a result, the Document Properties are not visible in SharePoint.

The solution

To resolve this, we have developed a macro that saves the Document Properties as 'SharePoint properties'. The macro looks at the column names you have set up in your SharePoint folder. These columns are automatically populated with the corresponding Document Properties.

If you first save the document on your computer and then drag it to SharePoint, the SharePoint properties are automatically filled in based on the Document Properties.
