What is telemetry and how to read it?
Telemetry in eformity provides valuable insight into how your organization uses the platform.
It tracks activities such as creating emails, documents, and presentations, giving subscription administrators a clear overview of system usage, adoption, and performance trends.
By analyzing telemetry data, you can identify which templates and products are most active and make informed decisions about optimization, training, and user engagement.
Accessing the telemetry dashboard
Follow the steps below to access and view telemetry data in eformity.
Step 1: Log in to eformity.net
Sign in using your organizational account at https://subscription-name.eformity.net. Use your own credentials and make sure you have the correct permissions to access telemetry data.
Step 2: Navigate to the System Management section
Once logged in, go to the System Management section from the main navigation menu. This section provides access to users, identity providers, and of course, telemetry insights.

Step 3: Open the telemetry Overview
In the left-hand menu, expand the Telemetry dropdown and click Overview. This page displays the core telemetry data that powers the charts.

Step 4: Open the Charts page
Click on the Charts page in the left-hand menu, located below Overview. This section allows you to generate visual charts to analyze specific activities or time periods.

Step 5: Generate and filter charts
Once the Charts page has loaded, select a Query to determine what data to analyze. You can choose between different query types and then set a Date range and additional Filters to refine your results. When everything is configured, click the Execute icon to generate the chart.

Interpreting Telemetry data
Telemetry charts display activity patterns across your organization. Each query provides a different perspective on how eformity is being used. For example, Actions per country and Actions per month help you understand where and when most activity occurs, while Actions per user per country reveals usage levels per individual or team.
The Client versions query is particularly useful for monitoring which versions of eformity clients are active, helping you identify outdated setups that might require updates or support. Similarly, Users per country can give insight into geographical adoption and rollout success across multiple offices or regions.
When interpreting telemetry data, look for consistent trends rather than single peaks. A sudden drop or spike in activity may indicate a change in template usage, an update rollout, or an issue affecting adoption. Regularly reviewing these charts helps you maintain visibility over platform health and user engagement.
By understanding telemetry data, you can:
- Identify underused templates or services.
- Measure feature adoption following new releases.
- Make data-driven decisions about training, onboarding, and automation strategies.
Summary
Telemetry provides real-time insights into how eformity is used across your organization. By regularly reviewing telemetry charts, subscription administrators can ensure the platform is being used effectively and proactively address low adoption, performance issues, or outdated client versions.
